Overview
This course provides supervisors with the knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of responsibilities required to manage confined-space activities safely.
It covers hazard identification, risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, control measures, pre-entry checks, emergency procedures, rescue considerations, and supervisory duties in line with industry and Qatar requirements.
Course Objectives
On completion of the training, participants should be able to:

Identify confined spaces and associated hazards.
•
Explain permit-to-work requirements and documentation.
•
Recognise hazardous atmospheres and exposure symptoms.
•
Select appropriate control measures to minimise risk.
•
Explain the roles and responsibilities of entrants, attendants, and supervisors.
•
Demonstrate the safe use of PPE, RPE, and confined-space equipment.
•
Conduct pre-entry checks and confirm that a safe system of work is in place.
•
Respond effectively to emergencies and rescue situations.
Target Audience
Site supervisors, engineers, safety officers, team leaders, and others responsible for planning, authorising, supervising, or managing confined-space entry work.

Certification
Successful participants will receive the applicable ECITB Confined Space Supervisor Certificate or training-provider equivalent, depending on the confirmed accreditation arrangement.
