OVERVIEW
 

This CQI | IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) Lead Auditor Training course is designed and developed to meet the Course Criteria PR 328, approved by CQI |IRCA and delivered by Approved Tutors.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second, and third-party audits of Quality management systems against ISO 9001, ISO 19011, and ISO 17021, as applicable.

Unless otherwise stated, all references in this document to ISO standards are to the current versions. Delegates who complete this course successfully (within the five years before applying to become a certificated auditor) will satisfy the training requirements for initial certification as an IRCA QMS auditor.

PREREQUISITE

All participants are expected to have the following prior knowledge based on the FD116 ISO 9001:2015 Foundation (QMS) course. In addition, delegates should also know on:

  1. Management Systems
    • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
    • The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, review and improvement

2. Quality Management System

    • The fundamental concepts and the seven quality management principles (see ISO 9000).
    • The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction

3. ISO 9001

    • Knowledge of the requirements of   ISO   9001   and the commonly used Quality management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 9000, which may be gained by completing a CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 Foundation (QMS) training course or the equivalent.

If you have any evidence to demonstrate that you have the prior knowledge as stated above (such as ISO 9001:2015 Foundation Course Certificate or Awareness Training Attendance Certificate or Equivalent), please contact the Course Administrator for waiver from taking the Pre-Course evaluation.

If you don’t have any such evidence to demonstrate that you have the prior knowledge, then you must take and pass the Pre-Course evaluation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, on completion, successful delegates will have the following:

  • To explain the purpose of a quality management system, quality management systems standards, management system audit, third-party certification, and the business benefits of improved performance of the quality management system.
  • To explain the role and responsibilities of an auditor to plan, conduct, report, and follow-up a quality management system audit by ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.
  • To plan, conduct, report, and follow up an audit of a quality management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 9001 and following ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.

COURSE ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION

All the Learners will be continuously assessed throughout the course based on Attendance, Participation, and performance in the classroom exercises, Homework, audit roleplays, etc., and the Final Assessment with 40 MCQ on the CQI-IRCA Online Proctoring Portal.

Attendance for all the classes and all the sessions is mandatory to sit in the final assessment.

Successful Learners will be issued with a Certificate of Achievement for CQI-IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) Lead Auditor Training Course.
