This advanced course develops the knowledge required to plan, manage, and control lifting operations safely.
Participants study load estimation, centres of gravity, lifting gear, crane duty charts, load calculations, rigging plans, certification requirements, communication, and lifting operations of varying complexity.
Target Audience
Experienced rigging and lifting personnel who meet the stated eligibility criteria and are being prepared for an appointed-person or senior lifting-planning role.
Entry Requirements
Minimum age 35; secondary education, Basic Rigging certificate, diploma, or equivalent; at least 10 years of rigging experience in construction or oil and gas; previous Basic Rigging and Slinging certification; good English and mathematics; and the ability to perform lifting calculations and prepare mobile-crane familiarisation information.
