This course prepares personnel to test potentially hazardous workplace atmospheres safely and effectively.
Participants learn when gas testing is required, how to use portable detection equipment, how to interpret atmospheric readings, and how to determine whether an atmosphere is safe for work.
Target Audience
Workers who monitor potentially hazardous atmospheres in confined spaces, hazardous-material storage locations, restricted areas, and areas containing dangerous goods.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be physically able to perform the required procedures and attend all sessions. A client may additionally require Basic First Aid training.

Theory and practical assessment. A minimum final examination score of 70% is required for the DISS Authorized Gas Tester ID card.
