OVERVIEW
 

This CQI-IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) Lead Auditor Training course is designed and developed to meet the Course Criteria PR 315, approved by CQI-IRCA, and delivered by Approved Tutors.

PRE-REQUISITE

All participants are expected to have the following prior knowledge based on FD113 ISO 14001:2015 Foundation (EMS) course. In addition, delegates should also know on:

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
  • The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, review, and improvement.

The intended outcomes of an environmental management system are:

  • Enhancement of environmental performance
  • Fulfillment of compliance obligations
  • Achievement of environmental objective
  •  

Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001 and the commonly used environmental management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 14001, may be gained by completing a CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Foundation (EMS) training course or the equivalent.

If you have any evidence to demonstrate that you have the prior knowledge as stated above (such as an ISO 14001:2015 Foundation Course Certificate or Awareness Training Attendance Certificate or Equivalent), please contact the Course Administrator for a waiver from taking the pre-course evaluation.

If you don’t have any such evidence to demonstrate that you have prior knowledge, then you must take and pass the pre-course evaluation.

Learners are requested to choose a convenient schedule for them as attendance for all the sessions is mandatory.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
 

This course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second, and third-party audits of  Environmental Management systems against ISO 14001, following ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable. All references in this document to ISO standards refer to the current versions unless otherwise stated.

Delegates who complete this CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor (EMS) Training Course (within five years before making an application to become a certificated auditor) will satisfy the training requirements for initial certification as an IRCA EMS auditor.

  • To explain the role of an auditor in planning, conducting, reporting, and following up an environmental management system audit following ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate)
  • To plan, conduct, report, and follow up on an audit of an environmental management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 14001 and follow ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate).

COURSE ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

All the Learners will be continuously assessed throughout the course based on attendance, participation, performance in the classroom exercises, Homework, audit roleplays, etc, and the Final Assessment with 40 MCQ on the CQI | IRCA Online Proctoring Portal.

Successful Learners will be issued with a Certificate of Achievement for CQI | IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) Lead Auditor Training Course.
