Overview

This course is suitable for anyone who needs a basic understanding of first-aid response.

It helps learners recognise when a casualty needs immediate medical attention or primary first aid and introduces patient assessment, cardiac arrest, adult CPR, bleeding, wounds, shock, burns, heat stress, and electrical injuries.

Target Audience

Office employees, labourers, home personnel, members of the public, commercial-premises staff, immediate supervisors, front-line staff, and others who may provide basic first aid before a qualified first aider arrives.
