OVERVIEW
Pediatric first aid refers to the immediate and appropriate medical care provided to infants and children during emergencies or instances of injury or illness. It aims to stabilize the child’s condition and minimize the potential risks until professional medical help arrives. Pediatric first aid involves a range of essential skills and knowledge, including assessing the child’s condition and performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) if necessary. Proper training and understanding of pediatric first aid are crucial for parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone involved in the care of children, as they can potentially save lives and prevent further harm in critical situations.
