OVERVIEW
The objective of this qualification is to support learners in become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, and how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), safe use of an AED, assisting a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolemic shock, also how to provide first aid for minor injuries.

Individuals seeking to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency first aid in the workplace, including employees, supervisors, managers, and designated first aiders across various industries and international settings.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aid responder.
- Be able to assess an emergency safely.
- Be able to provide First Aid to an Unresponsive casualty
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking.
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding.
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.
- Know how to safely use an Automated External defibrillator
ASSESSMENT
Practical demonstration and multiple-choice theory assessment
