Module 1: Self-awareness and Emotional Intelligence

  • The power of perception; understanding the role of perception in enhancing self-development and relationships with the people in our lives (in the work-place and in our personal lives), and thus, developing team collaboration and cohesiveness
  • Emotional Intelligence: Dr.Daniel Goleman- How to use Emotional Intelligence to connect with internal/external stakeholders/students
  • Attitude; entitlement and ego matters are addressed (Indirectly)
  • Self-awareness and awareness of others- Self-awareness is a necessary tool to best connect with other people and represent oneself professionally and dynamically
  • Social awareness- Awareness of team members; various exercises to better understand our team members and cultural diversity

Module 2: Effective Communication; Integrated Leadership and Team Development

  • Effective verbal communication- Using Re-enforcing language
  • Non-verbal Communication
  • Facial expression
  • Tone of voice
  • Voice projection

  • Energy: Understanding the principles of Human energy that people respond to or reject
  • Conversational Intelligence and Effective Communication

Discover how our primal brain functions and what chemicals are released that affect: Frame of Mind; Mood; Inter-action, Team engagement and Leadership and Communication

Understand how the human neuro-scientific response mechanism that drives and creates Stress: Cortisol; Adrenalin; Seratonin that affects inter-personal relationships

Module 3: Emotional and Communication Intelligence: ‘Team-ship’ Intelligence

  • Advanced Team Cohesiveness and Collaboration: Understanding each person’s role and function is imperative in over-coming any form of conflict
  • The concept of ‘service delivery mentality’ is a primary tool in overcoming, dealing with disputes
  • The course will cover the concept of: Emotional Self-Regulation and Social awareness: Understanding what drives the ‘other persons’ behaviour. When we are able to stop and absorb the drivers/triggers of peoples behaviour, both good and bad, we can then, be able to either alter our input to alter the outcome. Input refers to behaviour and attitude
  • Marshall Goldsmith: Understand human TRIGGERS of negative behaviour
  • Personality Frameworks
  • Recognised Problem Solving Techniques and tools that can be utilised within their teams in any given scenario.

These tools and techniques assist teams/people in establishing the ‘root cause and effect’ of any conflict and allows for the opportunity for open and free expression amongst the respective teams/individuals and then offers techniques in how to pragmatically over-come conflict situations (win-win)

  • Understand how to work together in a team with people who aren’t creative and how to utilise their pragmatic thinking and combine it with creative thinking to create team synergy and productivity
  • Diplomacy and how to use it effectively
  • Inter-personal communication related to dealing with people from different cultures, as culture this often creates disputes, unintentionally (cultural awareness)

The workshop is related to Human psychology and Organisational Anthropology and how we can work with ourselves and others in any given dynamic.
